Chair: Raman Bayanzadeh

Raman Bayanzadeh is a principal of the CRE Investment & Development Team at Royal LePage Sussex (Royal LePage Commercial). His background and strong analytical focus have enabled him to provide his commercial real estate clients with exceptional service in a variety of areas since 2007, primarily in land assembly and development, and the acquisition and disposition of income-producing assets. In the last 24 months, Raman has facilitated the sale of over $200 million of commercial and development assets.

He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD.D) designations and currently serves as Candidate Guidance Chair and Past President of CCIM Western Canada, as well as past Regional 1st Vice President for Region 12 (Canada) at the CCIM Institute.

At Greater Vancouver REALTORS®, Raman has served on its audit committee and currently sits on the BC Real Estate Association’s standard forms committee.

Chair-Elect: Steve Jamieson

Steve Jamieson was licensed in 1999 with RE/MAX and became a Managing Broker in 2008, and in 2017 became Director of Operations for Metro Vancouver Properties Group - an award winning group of seven RE/MAX offices with over 550 agents. He also served as the Chair of the RE/MAX Lower Mainland Broker Owner association for two consecutive years.

In 2018 he left RE/MAX to help found and manage a new real estate brand in the Lower Mainland – Stilhavn Real Estate Services. Since then, Stilhavn has expanded its operations to include offices in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler.

Steve enjoys water sports, is an avid traveller, cook, dog lover, and sci-fi geek.

Vice-Chair: Mark Wiens

Mark Wiens is a leader in real estate sales and a firm believer that Realtors add incredible value to their clients in a real estate transaction and are a positive force in the community.

Sales accolades include being a member of the President’s Club, representing the top one per cent of Realtors in the Real Estate Board of Greater Vancouver in transactions, as well as being among the top 100 RE/MAX Realtors in Western Canada by commissions earned.

Mark created and produced Vancouver's Next Top Agent, a reality television show centred on real estate sales professionals.

Able to speak English and Mandarin Chinese, Mark has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for a variety of charities through his work MCing bilingual galas, concerts, and other events. Mark and his wife Angelina enjoy spending time with their two corgis, Burger and Patty.

CEO: Jeff King

Jeff King was appointed chief executive officer of Greater Vancouver REALTORS® (GVR) in November 2021. Since then, he has advanced innovation and high professional standards while championing practical, non-partisan housing solutions that benefit Canadians and the Realtor community. King regularly works with policymakers, regulators, and local leaders to move ideas into action on supply, affordability, and professional standards. His leadership has strengthened Realtor voices in national housing debates and positioned GVR as a constructive community partner.

Before joining GVR, King was Chief Operating and Corporate Development Officer of SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors, and Music Publishers of Canada). He also served as chief executive officer of SOCAN subsidiaries Dataclef, New York based Audiam and Seattle based MediaNet.

During his time at SOCAN, Jeff was a key leader in the transformation of the organization as it grew from $120m in revenue to over $500m.

He was also chair of the board of directors at DDEX, a global standards-setting body for digital music distribution.

During his time in the music industry, King was named COO of the Year by M&A Today in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

He holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from the London School of Management & Technology, a BA Honours from Wilfrid Laurier University and has completed several post-graduate programs on innovation and governance. His expertise in strategy, innovation, licensing, distribution, and corporate planning has made him a sought-after speaker at conferences worldwide.

Sam Wyatt - Past-Chair

Sam Wyatt has been a Realtor since the 2000s. High integrity, honesty, and diligence are hallmarks of his work.

Amongst his diverse interests, he is a student of meditation and an avid mountaineer and outdoor enthusiast.

As an advocate for the practice of meditation, Sam provides free weekly meditation classes to the public every Tuesday evening at the Canadian Memorial Centre for Peace. He has been leading and teaching meditation for more than 25 years.

Sam has successfully scaled big peaks around the world including Denali (6194m) in Alaska, Huascuran (6768 m - solo) in Peru, Cho-Oyu (8201 m) in Tibet (with neither bottled oxygen nor sherpa support), and Mount Everest (8848 m) via its North Ridge.

Josh Bath, Royal LePage Elite West

Kathy McGarrigle – Appointed Director

Kathy is a seasoned financial executive and former chief operating officer of Coast Capital Savings, Canada’s largest Credit Union by membership. She was a key member of the executive team that led its transformation to one of the strongest performing Canadian credit unions.

She was recently appointed to the ICICI Bank Canada board of directors, and has served on several corporate and community boards.Kathy has extensive experience managing large, complex businesses in Canada and internationally. Before joining Coast Capital, she was senior vice-president Premier Banking for HSBC where she led its global strategy and positioned Canada as one of its top global regions.

She has a passion for volunteering and advocating for groups related to diversity, poverty, women, children, and seniors.

Kathy has been recognized for her leadership and community service. She was named one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in both 2016 and 2017.

Kathy is a graduate of the Queen’s University Executive Program and Institute of Corporate Directors, and a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers.

Kevin O'Toole, Sotheby’s International Realty

As part of the national management team at Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, Kevin oversees the Vancouver team of agents as its managing broker.

Prior to joining Sotheby's in 2019, Kevin had 15 years experience as a selling Realtor in Metro Vancouver.

Kevin also has experience in international marketing/sales. While residing in the UK in the late 1990s/early 2000s, he worked with clients such as: Savills, Rothschild, British Telecom, Ocado, The Daily Mail Group, and the BBC.

Since then, Stilhavn has expanded its operations to include offices in Vancouver, North Vancouver, Squamish, and Whistler.

Kevin’s volunteering experience includes being a Director for the Federation of Canadian Artists as well as previous roles with the Canadian Cancer Society and the West Vancouver Long-Range Planning Task Force.

Sandra Parsons, RE/MAX Sabre Realty

With over three decades of experience in real estate, Sandra is currently the managing broker at RE/MAX Sabre Realty. She holds the CRB and RRS designations, and is a dedicated member of CREA and the National Association of REALTORS®, reflecting her commitment to professional excellence.

Beyond real estate, Sandra is passionate about giving back to the community and proudly sits on the board of directors for the Zajac Ranch Foundation.

She’s an avid outdoor enthusiast who loves cycling, hiking, swimming, and training. Her deep care for animal well-being fuels her support for organizations such as the Vancouver Humane Society, SOI Dog in Thailand, and the WWF.

Sandra actively contributes to causes close to her heart, including the Zajac Ranch Foundation, Children's Miracle Network, the REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive, Joy’s Place, Autism BC, the Diabetes Association, and the Odd Squad Foundation.

When not working or volunteering, Sandra enjoys travelling and embracing new experiences.

Randy Ryalls, Royal LePage Sterling Realty

Randy Ryalls is an industry veteran, a professional Realtor since 1988, and the Managing Broker of Royal LePage Sterling Realty since 2005.

Randy has served on many GVR committees as is known as a communicator and team builder.

He is active in his community having spent many years in the rain as a coach on the soccer pitch or as a volunteer with Strata or Community Policing.

Shirin Saleh, 88West Realty

Driven by her entrepreneurial spirit, Shirin Saleh, the sole owner and managing broker of 88West Realty, founded the company in 2015 in Northshore.

Shirin’s extensive background in teaching at universities coupled with business acumen have enabled her to excel in her roles as an educator, leader and entrepreneur.

Shirin's philanthropy led to founding two Canadian charitable foundations: Light, Hope and Life in 2008, aiding underprivileged children's education and basic needs, and Flowers for Kids Cancer in 2015, supporting families with children battling cancer.

She has a strong passion for reading and listening to podcasts and audiobooks. During her free time, she finds pleasure in the art of dressmaking.
